Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high over the southern parts of the State extends a ridge northwards,
weakening from mid week. This ridge will bring a cool, dry southeasterly surge
to northern districts for the next couple of days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system over southern WA is slowly moving east. A cold front
will begin to move over the far southwest corner during Wednesday afternoon and
then the remainder of the South West Land Division overnight and into Thursday
morning.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 25 May
Light showers possible over the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 26 May
Light showers possible over the Eucla and far southeastern Interior. Chance of
morning fog and frost over the southern Goldfields, eastern South East coastal
district and western Eucla. Windy over the northern Gascoyne, Pilbara, North
Interior and southern Kimberley. Chance of a shower about the South West Capes
in the late evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 May
Showers about the South West Capes in the morning, extending eastwards to be
west of a line from Shark Bay to Bremer Bay by the evening. Chance of a
thunderstorm southwest of Lancelin to Albany. Chance of morning fog over the
southeastern parts of the State. Chance of a shower about the far southeast of
the State in the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 28 May
Showers southwest of a line from about Coral Bay to Eucla. Chance of a
thunderstorm over eastern parts of the South East Coastal district and south
coast between Augusta and Bremer Bay. Chance of morning fog over the eastern
Eucla.
Forecast for Friday 29 May
Light showers southwest of a line from about Coral Bay to Eucla, with showers
heavier about the Central West and southwest Gascoyne. Chance of morning fog
through inland parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Tuesday.
