Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cloud band that is bringing unseasonal showers and cooler temperatures to the
northern districts will linger till Sunday. Meanwhile, moderate to fresh east
to southeast winds will continue to ease today as a ridge to the south moves
away. A trough extends from offshore of the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts onto
land in the Kimberley, before weakening on Sunday ahead of a new southeast
surge.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front sits over the Eucla District, as a new ridge is developing
over southwest WA. This ridge is will remain over southern WA during the
weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 22 May
Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla
and South East Coastal district. Isolated showers also over the west and south
Kimberley, North Interior and remaining parts of the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 23 May
Showers and chance of a thunderstorm over the far northwest Kimberley and
eastern parts of the South Interior and Eucla. Light showers or drizzle, mostly
in the morning, over the South East Coastal district and remaining coastal
Eucla. Chance of morning frost and fog over inland parts of the South West Land
Division and southwest Goldfields. Windy during the day over the northern
Gascoyne, Pilbara, Eucla and Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 24 May
Light showers possible, mostly in the morning, about coastal parts east of
Esperance and over the eastern Eucla. Chance of morning fog and frost over
inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Windy
over the northern Gascoyne, Pilbara, central and northern Interior and southern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 25 May
Light showers possible near the Eucla coast. Chance of morning fog and frost
over inland eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the southern
Goldfields. Windy over the northern Gascoyne, Pilbara, central and northern
Interior and southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 26 May
Light showers possible near the Eucla coast. Chance of morning fog and frost
over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern Goldfields and
inland Eucla. Windy over the northern Gascoyne, Pilbara, North Interior and
southern Kimberley. Chance of a shower about the South West Capes in the late
evening.
