Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over inland parts, pushing offshore from Monday as a ridge moves
south of the State bringing fresh and gusty easterly winds to most parts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern WA and will persist through much of the week. A weak
cold front may brush the southwest coast later Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 17 May
Light showers southwest of a line Perth to Albany, mostly clearing inland parts
by evening. Slight chance of showers developing along the remaining coastal
fringe west of Esperance later afternoon and evening. Showers and isolated
thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central Interior, eastern
Pilbara and far northeast Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 18 May
Showers or drizzle about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division
and along the west coast south of Mandurah, extending to adjacent inland parts
for a period during the day and then mostly clearing during the evening.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern
Interior. Morning fog possible over southern and central parts of the South
West Land Division and eastern Eucla. Patchy morning frost possible through
eastern parts of the Central wheat Belt and southwest Goldfields. Windy through
Pilbara, southern Kimberley, North Interior and northern Gascoyne, mostly in
the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 May
Showers over the Kimberley with the chance of a thunderstorm about the
Kimberley coast. Light shower possible about the Eucla coast, clearing during
the afternoon. Morning fog possible over southern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Windy through Pilbara, southern
Kimberley, north and central Interior and northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 20 May
Showers and patchy rain, mostly coastal, over the west Kimberley and northern
Pilbara, extending south to the remaining Pilbara during the afternoon and
possibly reaching the northern Gascoyne by evening. Morning fog possible over
the eastern Eucla. Windy through northern and central parts.

Forecast for Thursday 21 May
Showers and patchy rain over the west Kimberley, Pilbara, west Interior,
northern and eastern Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Showers developing
southwest of a line Busselton to Albany during the afternoon. Windy through the
far eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and north Interior.
