Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over inland parts, pushing offshore from Monday as a ridge moves
south of the State bringing fresh and gusty easterly winds to most parts.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge will extend over southern WA later today and into the weekend,
persisting into next week.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 15 May
Light showers or drizzle over the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior, mostly about the coasts. Chance of a
thunderstorm over the southeastern Goldfields, Eucla and far southern Interior.
Shower possible across northern and eastern Kimberley.
Forecast for Saturday 16 May
Light showers or drizzle about coastal parts of the South West Land Division
and over Eucla district. Showers possible over the Kimberley. Showers and
isolated thunderstorms over central and eastern Interior. Morning fog possible
over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields and northwestern Kimberley. Patchy morning frost through inland
areas of the South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 17 May
Light showers or drizzle over southwestern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Interior and along the coast of South East Coastal district.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, eastern Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Morning fog possible over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Patchy morning frost
through inland areas of the South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.
Forecast for Monday 18 May
Showers or drizzle over southern parts of the South West Land Division, mostly
about the coast. Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Kimberley and
northeastern Interior. Morning fog possible over western and southern parts of
the South West Land Division and Eucla. Windy through eastern Pilbara and
southwest Kimberley in the morning.
Forecast for Tuesday 19 May
Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern
Interior. Light shower possible about the Eucla coast. Morning fog possible
over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy through Pilbara,
southern Kimberley, North Interior and northwest Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Saturday.
