Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge that extends through most of northern WA will weaken during the next
couple of days. The northern end of a trough will push eastward across the
Pilbara on Wednesday and Thursday, with a ridge strengthening it its wake.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high is moving into the Bight as its associated ridge weakens over southern
and eastern WA. A broad trough is near and offshore from the west coast. The
southern part of the trough will push inland later today into Tuesday, with the
trough further up the west coast not moving inland until Wednesday. A new ridge
will strengthen from the west in the wake of the trough as a cold front and low
pressure system through the Southern Ocean bring increasing winds about the
southern districts late in the week.
