Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough along the Pilbara coast will expand to the Kimberley on Saturday, as a
ridge over inland parts weakens.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge over southeast WA will slowly weaken over the next few days. A weak
cold front will brush past the southwest coast on Wednesday, while a west coast
trough remains slow moving. The trough will move inland ahead of the next cold
front on Friday night. The cold front will weaken on Saturday as it moves east
across the South West Land Division, with the trough moving to the Goldfields
and Interior.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 April
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over inland western and central
Pilbara, western parts of central South Interior, Gascoyne, far north
Goldfields, Central West, eastern Lower West, southern Central Wheat Belt and
northern parts of Great Southern district. Areas of smoke haze across the South
West Land Division and the Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 April
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western and central Pilbara,
Gascoyne, northwestern Goldfields, western Interior and across much of the
South West Land Division. Possible morning fog about south coastal districts,
southern parts of Great Southern and far southern Goldfields. Areas of smoke
haze over the South West Land Division and Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 16 April
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over western Pilbara, southern and
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, western parts of South Interior, western Eucla
and much of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 17 April
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
southern Interior, Eucla, southeast Gascoyne and Goldfields. Showers becoming
frequent south of a line Mandurah to Albany in the late afternoon and evening.
Possible morning fog over the western Gascoyne, western parts of Central West
and adjacent Lower West district. Becoming windy about the southwest coast.
Forecast for Saturday 18 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern Kimberley and adjacent North
Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over southern Interior, eastern
Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern parts of South East Coastal district. Showers
over the South West Land Division, contracting north and east during the day
and clearing in the afternoon and evening. Possible morning fog over the
Central West district. Windy about the south coast.
