Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough sits along the Pilbara coast, broadening throughout the week as a
ridge over inland parts weakens.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends over the State while a trough remains inland down the west
coast. A weak cold front will brush the southwest of the State on Wednesday
ahead of the next cold front on Friday night.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 13 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, far southeast
Pilbara, Gascoyne and western Interior. Showers and thunderstorms also possible
over the Central West, Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, northern Lower West,
northeast Great Southern and far north and southwest Goldfields.
Forecast for Tuesday 14 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southeast Pilbara, Gascoyne, far north
Goldfields, Central West, Lower West, southern Central Wheat Belt and northern
Great Southern. Chance of morning fog and a Chance of a shower or two between
Walpole and Bremer Bay. Possible morning fog over southern districts. Possible
morning smoke haze over the western South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southern Pilbara, Gascoyne, northwest
Goldfields, western Interior and the South West Land Division. Possible morning
fog about south coastal districts.
Forecast for Thursday 16 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the south and east Gascoyne, Goldfields,
southwest Interior and much of the inland South West Land Division. Chance of a
shower along the south coast.
Forecast for Friday 17 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern South West Land Division,
southern South Interior, Eucla, far southeast Gascoyne and Goldfields. Showers
developing later over southwest parts of the South West Land Division with the
chance of a thunderstorm between Mandurah and Windy Harbour. Possible morning
fog over the western Gascoyne and northern Central West district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Tuesday.
