Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A southeasterly surge will push into the Pilbara this weekend as a high
pressure system in the Bight extends a ridge over much of the State. A trough
extending down the west coast will weaken from Monday as the ridge strengthens
over the Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is extending over southern parts of the State while a trough deepens
near the west coast over the weekend. A weak cold front will brush the
southwest of the State late on Sunday, another ridge extending through western
and southern coastal waters in its wake.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 11 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Gascoyne, far western Interior,
southern Pilbara, northwest Goldfields, Central West and northern parts of the
Central Wheat Belt and Lower West. Chance of an afternoon shower or
thunderstorm over the western Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 12 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, far southeast
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, western Interior, Central West, northern Lower West
and northwestern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Chance of an afternoon shower
over the remaining inland Pilbara. Possible morning fog over southern coastal
districts west of Bremer Bay. Windy in the morning across the Pilbara, North
Interior and northern Gascoyne and in the early morning about the Darling
Scarp. Warm near the west coast and throughout the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 13 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, far south Pilbara,
Gascoyne and western Interior. Showers and thunderstorms also possible over the
Central West, Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, Lower West, northern Great Southern
and far north and southwest Goldfields. Warm near the west coast and over
northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 14 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over much of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, far north
Goldfields, Central West, Lower West and Central Wheat Belt. Chance of morning
fog and a shower or two over southern districts between Walpole and Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the inland west Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central
West, Lower West, western Central Wheat Belt, northwest Great Southern and far
north South West district. Chance of a shower over the remainder of the South
West Land Division. Possible morning fog about south coastal districts.
