Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough persists over inland parts of northern WA. A ridge over central
Australia directs an easterly flow into the Kimberley, weakening slightly from
today.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge lays over southeastern parts of the State as a trough extends from
the Pilbara through the Goldfields. A cold front passed through the southwest
corner of the State today, with a new high pressure ridge strengthening along
the south coast on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 5 April
Possible shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far southeastern South Interior
and far eastern Eucla. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far north Kimberley. Possible
morning fog over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 6 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over much of the southeastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southern South Interior, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South
West Land Division. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far north Kimberley. Possible
morning fog over the eastern South East coastal district, southern Eucla and
southwest Kimberley. Windy over southeastern parts of the state in the
afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 7 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
southwestern South Interior, Eucla, and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers possible over central southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far north Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 8 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
southwestern South Interior, Eucla, and eastern parts of the South East Coastal
district. Showers over remaining southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the far north
Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 9 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Goldfields, southwestern
South Interior, and Eucla. Showers over southern coastal districts of the South
West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far north Kimberley.
Windy at times over southeastern parts of the state.
