Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over inland parts of northern WA, while a ridge is directing an
easterly flow into the Kimberley. Minimal change in this pattern is expected
through the long weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is weakening over southern parts of the State as a trough deepens from
the Gascoyne into the eastern South West Land Division. A branch of the trough
will develop back towards the lower west coast during tonight and Friday before
pushing inland later Saturday into Sunday. The northern end of a cold front
will pass through the southwest corner of the State on Sunday, followed by a
new high pressure ridge strengthening from the west on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 2 April
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the far southeastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southwest parts of South Interior, Eucla and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower
over the far north Kimberley. Light showers and drizzle about the southern
districts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 3 April
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the eastern and southern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western and southern South Interior, Eucla and most of
the South West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far north
Kimberley. Possible morning fog over the northern Central West district. Windy
at times in the morning over the Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 4 April
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
western and southern South Interior, Eucla and most of the South West Land
Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far north Kimberley. Possible
morning fog over the far southwest and northwest South West Land Division.
Windy at times in the morning over the Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 5 April
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the northern and eastern
Goldfields, Eucla and south and west South Interior and far eastern parts of
the South East Coastal district. Showers over the southern South West Land
Division with possible morning fog. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far
north Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 6 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Goldfields, Eucla, southwest South Interior
and eastern South East Coastal district. Showers over remaining southern parts
of the South West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower over the far
north Kimberley.
