Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle has moved southeast over the South West Land
Division. A trough will linger over the east Pilbara this weekend and early
next week whilst a ridge extends into the east Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle is tracking southeast over the South West Land
Division whilst a ridge lays over southeastern parts. Narelle will move off the
south coast tonight and into the Bight. A cold front will then pass southern WA
later Sunday into Monday, with a ridge building over the Central West in its
wake.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 28 March
Very windy, rain, gusty thunderstorms and heavy falls possible over the far
southeast Gascoyne, eastern South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms also over the western Kimberley, eastern
Pilbara, remaining Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, western Eucla and
remaining parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 29 March
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the inland west Pilbara, far east
Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and northern and far eastern parts
of the South West Land Division. Thunderstorms possibly severe over the South
Interior and Eucla and far eastern Goldfields. Showers over the remainder of
the South West Land Division with the chance of a shower about the west
Kimberley, remaining Pilbara and Gascoyne and western North Interior.
Forecast for Monday 30 March
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southwest Kimberley, eastern
Pilbara, Interior, Eucla, far southeast Goldfields and the far eastern South
East Coastal district. Thunderstorms possibly severe over the South Interior
and eastern Eucla. Showers over the remaining South West Land Division,
southern Gascoyne, remaining Goldfields. Possible morning fog over the inland
South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields and southeast Gascoyne. Becoming
windy about the southwest coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 31 March
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southwest Kimberley, eastern
Pilbara, southwest North Interior, South Interior and eastern Eucla.
Thunderstorms possibly severe over the South Interior and adjacent North
Interior. Showers along the south coast with a chance of a shower over the
western and central South West Land Division. Windy at times along the south
coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 1 April
Chance of showers over the southwest Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, far northeast
Gascoyne, northern South Interior, over the southern Southwest district and
along the south coast of the South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm
over the Northwest Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Sunday.
