Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Tropical Cyclone Narelle will continue intensifying over waters north of the
Pilbara during today and tomorrow as it travels offshore parallel to the coast.
On Friday, the system will move near the Northwest Capes and curve southwards
towards the west coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the Gascoyne coast will shift offshore on Thursday before
deepening whilst a ridge strengthens over central and southern WA. Meanwhile, a
cloud band extends over southeastern parts of the state and is slowly moving
east. Towards the weekend, Tropical Cyclone Narelle will most likely approach
the west coast from the north.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 25 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, most of the
Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and across the northern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible about
southwest Kimberley coast and adjacent Pilbara coast. Damaging wind gusts
possible about the far southwest Kimberley coast and eastern and central
Pilbara coast. Windy over the remaining western Kimberley, remaining Pilbara,
northwest Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 26 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior,
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and Central West. Heavy falls possible about
coastal and western parts of Pilbara, the southern and central Gascoyne and
Central West district. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the remaining
northern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of a light
shower along the south coast. Very windy over the western and central Pilbara,
windy over the remaining Pilbara, Gascoyne and over much of the southern parts
of the State.

Forecast for Friday 27 March
Very windy, rain, gusty thunderstorms and heavy falls over the west Pilbara and
western Gascoyne. Showers and gusty thunderstorms also over the north and west
Kimberley, remaining Pilbara, remaining Gascoyne, and most parts of the South
West Land Division, with heavy falls possible over the central Gascoyne and
northern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over remaining parts
south of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 28 March
Very windy, rain, gusty thunderstorms and heavy falls possible over the western
Gascoyne, and northern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms also over the western Kimberley, Pilbara,
remaining Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, western Eucla and remaining
parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over remaining central and
southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Sunday 29 March
Showers and possible thunderstorms over most parts of the Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, most parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, South
Interior and Eucla. Windy about central southern parts and the Eucla, easing
during the morning.
