Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough will persist about the western Pilbara. Tropical Cyclone Narelle will
weaken as it moves west over the Northern Territory, then approach the
northeast Kimberley as a deep tropical low early next week, possibly
strengthening over the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. The tropical low will continue
west, developing over waters north of the Pilbara mid-week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge over central and southeastern parts of the state will slowly weaken
this weekend. A west coast trough moves inland this afternoon, ahead of a weak
cold front brushing past the south coast on Sunday. A new ridge arrives in the
southwest on Sunday, building east along the south coast from Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over northern parts of the North Interior and Gascoyne. Chance of
a shower through southern districts, west of Bremer Bay. Very hot over the
South West Land Division away from the west and southwest coasts.

Forecast for Sunday 22 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Chance of a shower
or thunderstorm over the remaining Kimberley, western Pilbara and northern
Gascoyne. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Hot over
northern inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy near the west
coast.

Forecast for Monday 23 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, with possible heavy falls
in the north. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the inland west Pilbara
and north Gascoyne. Showers and chance of thunderstorms over southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and far west
Eucla. Cool over southern parts of the South West Land Division and southwest
Goldfields. Windy across the Kimberley and northern parts of the North Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 24 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara and North
Interior, with possible heavy falls in the north and west Kimberley. Showers
and the chance of a thunderstorm over the southeast Gascoyne, southern and
central Goldfields, western Eucla and much of the South West Land Division,
away from western parts. Windy across the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North
Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 25 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest
Interior, inland Gascoyne, north and west Goldfields and western Eucla. Chance
of a shower or thunderstorm over much of the South West Land Division, away
from far southern parts. Windy over the western Kimberley, much of the Pilbara
and northwest Interior.
