Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the southern Kimberley to the Pilbara coast and will
persist for the next few days, with a low forming over the northwest Gascoyne
by Sunday evening. A weakening tropical low over the southern Kimberley will
drift southeast into the Northern Territory on Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow moving ridge will persist south of the State for the next few days with
a high forming in the Bight by Monday evening. A west coast trough is
developing and will deepen on Monday before pushing offshore on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla, southern South
Interior and northern and eastern Goldfields, with possible heavy falls. Chance
of showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara and inland
Gascoyne. Light showers and drizzle over southern and inland parts of the South
West Land Division and southwest Goldfields. Cool across the Eucla.
Forecast for Monday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior, with
possible heavy falls in the north and east. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
over the central and eastern Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Light showers and
drizzle over southern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern
Goldfields, Eucla and remaining eastern parts of the Interior, mainly in the
morning and early afternoon. Possible morning fog over the South East Coastal
and eastern parts of the South Coastal districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 17 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior. Possible
heavy falls over the far southeast Kimberley and far eastern North Interior
district. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern
Pilbara. Light showers and drizzle over the eastern Goldfields, South East
Coastal, Eucla and remainder of the Interior, mainly in the morning and early
afternoon. Possible morning fog over the South East Coastal district. Windy in
the morning across the Gascoyne, Central West and along the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central Interior and
northeastern Pilbara. Light showers and drizzle over the Eucla. Hot near the
west coast. Windy in the morning across the Gascoyne, Central West and along
the Darling Scarp.
Forecast for Thursday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern parts of the Interior
and eastern Pilbara. Chance of a shower over the eastern Eucla. Hot over much
of the inland South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Monday.
