Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the southern Kimberley to the Pilbara coast. A weak
tropical low over the northwest part of the Northern Territory will move
southwest and may cross the border into eastern parts of the Kimberley or North
Interior during the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge will remain in place across central and southern WA into next
week. A new west coast trough will begin to develop from Sunday. Meanwhile, a
trough over the Interior will draw moisture from the north, causing a cloud
band to thicken over eastern parts of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over northern and eastern Kimberley, Interior, Eucla
and eastern Goldfields. Heavy falls possible over northern and eastern
Kimberley, moderate falls possible over South East Coastal, Eucla and southern
Interior. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over inland central and eastern
Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, and southern and western Kimberley. Showers and
drizzle over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and
western Goldfields. Cool across eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, Interior,
northern and eastern Goldfields, and Eucla, with possible heavy falls. Chance
of showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne
and southwest Kimberley. Showers and drizzle over inland and eastern parts of
the South West Land Division, and southwest Goldfields, with moderate falls
possible over the South East Coastal district. Windy across northeastern parts
of the Interior. Cool across the Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern and northern
Goldfields and Eucla, with possible heavy falls. Chance of showers and
thunderstorms over inland Gascoyne, and inland central and eastern Pilbara.
Light showers and drizzle over inland and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division and southwest Goldfields. Cool across the Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast parts of the Interior
and far eastern parts of Eucla, with possible heavy falls. Chance of showers
and thunderstorms over central and eastern Pilbara, and northeast Gascoyne.
Light showers and drizzle over eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla, and remainder of the Interior,
mainly in the morning and early afternoon. Chance of morning fog over South
East Coastal and eastern parts of South Coastal districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, and northeast parts of the
Interior, with possible heavy falls. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over
central and northeast Pilbara. Light showers and drizzle over Goldfields, South
East Coastal, Eucla and remainder of the Interior, mainly in the morning and
early afternoon. Windy in the morning across western Gascoyne, Central West and
along the Darling Scarp.
