Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough is moving north across the Pilbara and Interior as a ridge forces
southeasterly flow in its wake. The trough will push further north into the
southern Kimberley and extend down the Pilbara coast on Thursday and into the
weekend. A tropical low, currently in the Northern Territory, may move into the
Kimberley this weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge extends over southern WA and will persist until the end of the
week. A weak west coast trough will begin to develop on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 March
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Goldfields and Eucla, with a small
chance of heavy falls. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley,
eastern and central Pilbara and North Interior. Showers over southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot through the Pilbara and
North Interior. Cool over southern and central WA. Windy over the far southern
Pilbara, central and southeastern parts of the state.

Forecast for Thursday 12 March
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southern South Interior and Eucla
with moderate falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms over most of the
Kimberley. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern
Pilbara and far northeast North Interior. Showers over southern parts of the
South West Land Division and southern and eastern Goldfields. Windy over the
southern Pilbara, central and southeastern parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, southern South Interior, Eucla
and Goldfields. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the inland central and
eastern Pilbara and remaining Interior. Showers over southern parts of the
South West Land Division and far southeast Gascoyne. Windy in the morning over
the Gascoyne and central Interior. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the
north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, northern and eastern Goldfields and Eucla. Moderate to heavy
falls possible over the north and central Kimberley. Showers over southern
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, central and eastern
Pilbara, Moderate to heavy falls possible over the Kimberley. Chance of showers
and thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern
Central Wheat Belt.
