Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends over the north. A strengthening ridge over the Pilbara
and North Interior will push the trough northwards into the Kimberley from this
evening, persisting for much of the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge sits over southern WA, and is expected to strengthen further. A west
coast trough has returned and will deepen during the week.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 24 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Northern Interior, Pilbara,
and northwest Gascoyne. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm, with little or no
rainfall, in the afternoon and evening over the remaining western and central
Gascoyne, Central West and far northwestern Central Wheat Belt districts.
Forecast for Wednesday 25 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, much of
the Pilbara, and far northwest Gascoyne. Chance of a thunderstorm over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division in the afternoon and
evening. Possible morning shower or drizzle over the eastern Eucla. Very hot
through the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and western parts of the South West Land
Division. Cool over the eastern Eucla and southern Interior. Windy across
across central and southwestern parts in the morning, and over the Eucla and
southern Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 26 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, and
northeastern parts of the Pilbara. Chance of a thunderstorm over southwestern
parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot through the Pilbara, Gascoyne,
and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Cool over the eastern Eucla
and southern Interior.
Forecast for Friday 27 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, and
northeastern parts of the Pilbara. Possible showers over the eastern Eucla.
Very hot through the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and northern parts of the South West
Land Division. Cool over the eastern Eucla and southern Interior. Windy at
times in the afternoon and evening over the Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 28 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, and
northeastern parts of the Pilbara. Showers developing over southern parts of
the South West Land Division. Very hot through through the Pilbara and northern
Gascoyne. Windy along the west coast during the afternoon.
