Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends over the North Interior into the Pilbara. Southeasterly winds
from today will move the trough north to the Pilbara coast, and another trough
over the Kimberley coast from mid-week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge sits over southern WA, strengthening from Tuesday. A west coast trough
returns on Monday and deepens during the week.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 22 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, most of the
Pilbara, and far northern Gascoyne. Localised heavy falls possible over the
central and eastern Interior, and southeast Kimberley. Windy across the Eucla
and Interior.
Forecast for Monday 23 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern
Interior, most of the Pilbara, and northern Gascoyne. Localised heavy falls
possible over the North Interior, and southeast Kimberley. Chance of a shower
or thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the remaining inland western
and central Gascoyne. Possible morning shower about the Eucla coast. Very hot
through the southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern inland parts of
Central West. Cool over the eastern Eucla, South Interior and far eastern parts
of the Goldfields. Windy in the morning through central parts of the state.
Forecast for Tuesday 24 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara,
and northwest Gascoyne. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm with little or no
rainfall over the remaining western and central Gascoyne, Central West and far
northwestern Central Wheat Belt districts. Very hot through inland parts of the
Central West and northern inland parts of Lower West districts. Cool over the
eastern Eucla and southern Interior. Windy across across central and
southwestern parts in the morning, and over the Eucla and southern Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 25 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Northern Interior, much of
the Pilbara, and far northwest Gascoyne. Chance of a thunderstorm over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division in the afternoon and
evening. Possible morning shower or drizzle over the central and eastern Eucla.
Very hot through the Central West and inland northern parts of Lower West
districts. Cool over the eastern Eucla and southern Interior. Windy across
across central and southwestern parts in the morning, and over the Eucla and
southern Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 26 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Northern Interior, and
northeastern and central parts of the Pilbara. Chance of a thunderstorm over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot through northern
parts of the Central West district. Cool over the eastern Eucla and southern
Interior.
