Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A tropical low is centred over southwest Kimberley, most likely remaining over
land and moving west to the Pilbara coast later in the week. A trough extends
across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west coast trough has developed, pushing south to southeasterly winds up the
coast until it moves inland today. A high sits in the Bight, bringing
northeasterly flow to the southeast before a cold front is expected to pass the
south coast on Friday, leaving southerly winds in its wake, tending
southeasterly as a ridge extends over the southwest during the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern and
central Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields. Heavy falls
possible over far southwest Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara and western North
Interior.

Forecast for Friday 20 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the
eastern Pilbara and western Interior. Very hot through the southwest Pilbara,
western Gascoyne and northern inland parts of the Central West district.

Forecast for Saturday 21 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern and eastern Goldfields, and eastern Eucla. Possible showers
along the south coast. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the western
Interior. Very hot through the northwest of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 22 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, northeastern Goldfields and eastern Eucla. Possible showers
along the south coast. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the northern
Interior. Very hot through the northwest of the State. Very windy southwest of
a line from about Exmouth to Forrest.

Forecast for Monday 23 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern
Interior, Pilbara, and far northeast Gascoyne. Showers over the northern and
eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and Southern Interior. Very hot through
the far northwest of the State. Very windy through central parts of the State.
