Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior. A tropical
low is slowly developing over southwest Kimberley, most likely remaining over
land and moving west parallel to the Pilbara coast later in the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge is strengthening over the southwest and will build across southern
WA this week. A west coast trough will return on Wednesday, deepening on
Thursday before moving to inland South West Land Division later in the day with
a cold front passing to the south on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, and eastern and central Pilbara. Heavy falls possible over the
southwest Kimberley, North Interior and eastern Pilbara. Very hot through the
western Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Windy at times over southeastern and
central parts of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, and eastern and central Pilbara. Heavy falls possible over the
southwest Kimberley, North Interior and eastern Pilbara. Very hot through the
far southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne and far northern parts of Central West.
Windy across the Pilbara, Interior and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern and
central Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields. Heavy falls
possible over far southwest Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and western North
Interior. Very hot through the southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne, northern
and central western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 20 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the
central and east Pilbara. Possible morning showers over southern coastal and
adjacent inland parts between Walpole and Bremer Bay. Very hot through the
southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern inland parts of the Central
West district.

Forecast for Saturday 21 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and Eucla. Possible showers over the South East
Coastal district and about remaining coastal parts west to Cape Leeuwin.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Wednesday.
