Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior. A tropical
low is slowly developing in the Kimberley over the next few days, most likely
moving offshore across the southwest Kimberley coast or far east Pilbara coast
on Wednesday, then travelling parallel along the Pilbara coast later in the
week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough across the Goldfields and inland Gascoyne is moving east and will
reach the Interior and Eucla on Monday. A new ridge is strengthening over the
southwest and will build across southern WA this week. A west coast trough will
return on Wednesday, deepening later in the week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central Interior,
eastern and central Pilbara. Heavy falls possible over the southern and western
Kimberley, and North Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over eastern
Gascoyne, western Goldfields, eastern parts of the South East Coastal district
and western Eucla. Light showers possible over southern districts of the South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 16 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, central and eastern
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Eucla and far eastern parts of South East Coastal
district. Heavy falls possible over western Kimberley, northern Interior and
eastern Pilbara. Light showers and drizzle possible over southern parts of the
South West Land Division and Goldfields. Very hot through eastern Eucla. Windy
about the south coast, Eucla, southeast Goldfields and far southern Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, central and eastern Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Heavy falls
possible over southwest Kimberley, northern Interior and eastern Pilbara. Very
hot through southwest Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Windy over southeastern
and central parts of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, Pilbara, and far northern Gascoyne. Heavy falls possible over
southwest Kimberley, northern Interior and eastern Pilbara. Very hot through
southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne and far northern parts of Central West.
Windy south of the Kimberley, especially in the morning.

Forecast for Thursday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, and
northern Gascoyne. Heavy falls possible over far southwest Kimberley and
eastern Pilbara. Very hot through western Gascoyne, Central West and northern
parts of Lower West. Windy over eastern Pilbara, and across the Darling scarp
in the morning.
