Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies slow moving across the Pilbara and Kimberley. A tropical low may
move into the Kimberley from the Northern Territory early-to-mid next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front brushes the south coast late Saturday as a ridge strengthens
south of the State. The high pressure system moves into the Bight on Sunday. A
west coast trough is deepening and will move offshore late this weekend, before
moving inland on Monday. Another ridge builds south of WA in the wake of the
trough from Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 31 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
central Interior, northeast Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Chance of a light
shower or thunderstorm with little to no rainfall over northeastern and
northern inland parts of the South West Land Division, and the southeast Eucla.
Light showers over south coastal districts and southern Interior. Very hot over
Central West, north Lower West, western Gascoyne and western Pilbara. Windy
over the state south of the Kimberley, including the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Sunday 1 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
central Interior, and northern Gascoyne. Light showers over the south coastal
districts east of Albany and southern Goldfields. Very hot over Central West,
Lower West, western Gascoyne, western Pilbara, and southwestern Kimberley.
Windy over the state south of the Kimberley, including the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Monday 2 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
central Interior, western Gascoyne, and northern Central West. Light showers
possible along the Eucla coast in the morning, and along the western south
coast in the evening. Very hot over the western Gascoyne, western Pilbara and
western and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over the
state south of the Kimberley, including the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior
and northern Gascoyne. Light showers possible over southern parts of the South
West Land Division. Very hot over northern parts of Central West, western
Gascoyne and western Pilbara. Windy over the southern Kimberley, North
Interior, South West Land Division and western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and North
Interior. Light showers possible about the South East Coastal district. Very
hot over the northern Central West, west Gascoyne, and west Pilbara. Windy at
times over much of the state.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Sunday.
