Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough sits over the Pilbara and Kimberley, persisting into the start of next
week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge sits to the south of the State. A trough lingers about the west coast,
deepening over the weekend and into Monday when it moves inland.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 29 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern
and eastern Interior, Eucla, Gascoyne and northern parts of the Central West.
Showers over the eastern Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 30 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, and
northeast Gascoyne. Possible light showers over the Eucla. Very hot over
northwestern parts of the South West Land Division and the inland western
Gascoyne. Windy at times over central and southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 31 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
central Interior, northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields. Light showers
along the south coast and through the Eucla district. Very hot over
northwestern parts of the South West Land Division, and western parts of the
Gascoyne and Pilbara. Windy over central and southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 1 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
central Interior, and northern Gascoyne. Light showers along the south coast
east of Albany and through the Eucla district. Very hot over northwestern parts
of the South West Land Division, and western parts of the Gascoyne and Pilbara.
Apart from the Kimberley, windy at times over much of the State, including the
Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Monday 2 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
eastern Interior, northern and western Gascoyne, and northern Central West.
Showers possible over remaining parts of the Gascoyne and Interior, and
northern parts of the Goldfields. Light showers also possible along the south
coast. Very hot over western parts of the Gascoyne, inland Pilbara, and much of
the South West Land Division. Windy at times over much of the Interior and
Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Friday.
