Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Luana is located over the South Interior and will continue
to decay and move further south on Wednesday. A trough will extend into the
Kimberley from the NT on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies to the south of the state. A high pressure system will move into
the Bight as a new trough develops near the west coast on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 27 January
Heavy rain and thunderstorms over the Interior, eastern Goldfields, and Eucla.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and
northeast Gascoyne. Light showers along the south coastal districts west of
Israelite Bay, clearing by evening. Windy through the Gascoyne, Interior,
Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 January
Heavy rain and thunderstorms over the southern Interior, far eastern Goldfields
and Eucla. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara,
North Interior and northeast Gascoyne. Windy through the Interior, Goldfields
and Eucla, and in the Gascoyne during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Thursday 29 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern
and eastern Interior, Eucla, far eastern Goldfields, Gascoyne and northern
parts of the Central West. Showers over the remaining eastern Goldfields and
far eastern parts of the South East Coastal district. Very hot over northern
parts of the Central West and the inland western Gascoyne. Windy at times over
central and southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Friday 30 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior,
northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields and parts of the Eucla district. Very
hot over northwestern parts of the South West Land Division and the inland
western Gascoyne. Windy at times over central and southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 31 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and
central Interior, northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields. Light showers
along the south coast and through the Eucla district. Very hot over
northwestern parts of the South West Land Division, and western parts of the
Gascoyne and Pilbara. Windy over central and southern parts of the State.
