Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Luana is located over the North Interior and will continue
to move south into the South Interior on Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front brush past the southwest and south coasts on Monday.
Meanwhile, a trough extending across the Goldfields will move east and stall
over the Interior as remnants of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Luana moves through the
South Interior on Tuesday. A new ridge will develop across southwest WA by
Tuesday with a west coast trough returning on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 26 January
Heavy rain and windy conditions over the northern Interior, southwest Kimberley
and far eastern Pilbara, with thunderstorms possibly producing damaging winds.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley, eastern
Pilbara, Interior, eastern Goldfields, Eucla, and northeast Gascoyne. Light
showers or drizzle about far southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Very hot in the eastern Eucla, mild across much of the South West Land
Division. Windy at times through southeast WA.
Forecast for Tuesday 27 January
Heavy rain and thunderstorms over the Interior, eastern Goldfields, and Eucla.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and
northeast Gascoyne. Light showers along the south coastal districts west of
Israelite Bay, mostly in the morning. Windy through the Gascoyne, Interior,
Goldfields and Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 28 January
Heavy rain and thunderstorms over the southern Interior, far eastern Goldfields
and Eucla. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara,
North Interior and northeast Gascoyne. Windy through the Interior, Goldfields
and Eucla, and in the afternoon over western Gascoyne.
Forecast for Thursday 29 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern
and eastern Interior, Eucla, far eastern Goldfields, Gascoyne and northern
parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over western Interior,
Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of South East Coastal. Very hot over
northern parts of Central West and adjacent southwest Gascoyne. Windy at times
over central and southern parts of the State.
Forecast for Friday 30 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior,
northeast Gascoyne, far northeast Goldfields, and parts of the Eucla district.
Showers possible about the remainder of the Eucla, southeast Goldfields, and
the far eastern South West Land Division. Very hot over northern parts of the
South West Land Division. Windy at times over central and southern parts of the
State.
