Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends through the Interior while Tropical Low 16U lies to the
northwest of the Kimberley coast, moving closer to the coast or inland over the
weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough moves across the southwest ahead of a weak cold front brushing the
south coast on Friday. A weak ridge will then form in the southwest before
another cold front approaches over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 22 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western
Pilbara, and northern Interior. Chance of a light shower or thunderstorm over
inland and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times about
the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 23 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, much of the Pilbara,
northern and western Interior, and northeast Gascoyne. Possible heavy rainfall
over the northern Kimberley. Thunderstorms also possible about the southern
Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields, west Eucla, and northeast and eastern parts of
the South West Land Division. Light showers or drizzle over southern parts of
the South West Land Division. Very hot over the west Pilbara, South Interior,
northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields, and Eucla. Windy at times through the
Interior, Eucla, Goldfields, and northwest Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Saturday 24 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, much of the Pilbara,
Interior, northeast Goldfields, and northeast Gascoyne. Possible heavy rainfall
over the Kimberley. Very hot over the northern Goldfields. Windy at times
through the Interior, Eucla, and northwest Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Sunday 25 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, much of the Pilbara,
Interior, east Goldfields, and Eucla. Possible heavy rainfall over the
Kimberley and North Interior. Light showers or drizzle about western and
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over the north and
east Goldfields, northeast South East Coastal District, and the Eucla. Windy at
times through southeastern WA and over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 26 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, much of the Pilbara,
Interior, north and east Goldfields, Eucla, and the eastern South East Coastal
District. Possible heavy rainfall over the Interior. Light showers or drizzle
about the western and southern South West Land Division, contracting to far
southern parts in the afternoon. Patchy morning fog over the South East Coastal
district. Very hot in the eastern Eucla. Windy at times in southeast WA, and
about the Kimberley and Interior.
