Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lays through the Pilbara, extending into the North Interior this
weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough remains through the Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla, its southeastern
extent moving into the South Interior later this week. A ridge develops along
the south coast, weakening slightly on Thursday as a cold front passes well
south of the State, strengthening thereafter.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 6 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern parts of the North
Interior, northern, central and western Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northeast
Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields, and adjacent South East Coastal and Eucla
districts. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
far northeast South West Land Division, Goldfields and eastern Eucla. Windy at
times through the Eucla, southern Goldfields, western Gascoyne and southwest
Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, northern Interior, eastern and central Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, adjacent western South Interior, and western and central Eucla.
Morning showers possible about the South East Coastal district, southern
Goldfields and western Eucla. Very hot over the far southwest Kimberley,
Pilbara, Interior, northern Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Windy at times
through the Eucla, southern Goldfields, and southern Interior, and during the
afternoon and evening over the northwest Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 8 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, and northern and central
Goldfields. Light showers possible about the southern South West and coastal
South Coastal district and Eucla. Very hot over the western Pilbara,
northeastern Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Windy at times during the
afternoon and evening through the Eucla, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 9 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, and northeast Goldfields, mostly in the afternoon and
evening. Morning showers possible about the South East Coastal district. Very
hot over the southeast Kimberley, west Pilbara, and northern parts of the
Goldfields and Gascoyne districts. Windy at times during the afternoon and
evening through the Eucla, southern Interior, Great Southern, Central Wheat
Belt, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 10 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, central
and eastern Pilbara, and northeast Gascoyne, mostly in the afternoon and
evening. Possible morning shower about the south coast. Showers possible over
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, central and southern Goldfields
and western Eucla. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, western Pilbara and
far northern Gascoyne. Windy over central and southern parts of the state.
