Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Kimberley and Pilbara, retracting out of the
Kimberley by Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough sits through the Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla, moving to the
Interior by Wednesday. A ridge develops along the south coast, weakening
slightly on Thursday as a cold front passes well south of the State,
strengthening thereafter.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 5 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent North Interior,
northern Pilbara, western Gascoyne and far northeast Central West district.
Chance of a late light shower about the western south coast. Windy at times
through the Eucla, southern Goldfields, Interior, western Gascoyne and
southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, northern parts of North Interior, northern and western parts of
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northeast Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields, and
adjacent South East Coastal and Eucla districts. Chance of a shower about the
south coastal districts. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara,
Interior, Gascoyne, far northeast South West Land Division, Goldfields and
eastern Eucla. Windy at times during the afternoon and evening through the
Eucla, southern Goldfields, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, northern Interior, eastern and central Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, and western Eucla. Morning showers possible about the South East
Coastal district, southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Very hot over the
southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northern Gascoyne, and northern
Goldfields. Windy during the afternoon and evening through the Eucla, southern
Goldfields, southern Interior, northwest Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 8 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, and northern and central
Goldfields. Morning showers possible about the southern South West district,
South East Coastal, southeast Goldfields, and Eucla. Very hot over the
southeast Kimberley, western Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, and northern
Goldfields. Windy at times during the afternoon and evening through the Eucla,
western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 9 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, and the northeast Goldfields, mostly in the afternoon and
evening. Morning showers possible about the South East Coastal district, Eucla,
and southern Goldfields. Very hot over the southeast Kimberley, west Pilbara,
and northern parts of the Goldfields and Gascoyne districts. Windy at times
during the afternoon and evening through the Eucla, southern Interior, Great
Southern, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.
