Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure will persist and deepen over inland areas in the
north this week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough lies inland of the west coast and will move east across the South
West Land Division ahead of a weak cold front brushing the south coast. A new
ridge building across the southwest coast by Wednesday will extend along
southern WA on Thursday. A new west coast trough will form on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 16 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north, central and west
Interior, central and eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, north and west
Goldfields, and inland and southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 17 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and far western
Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla, and far eastern
parts of the South West Land Division. Light showers about the southern
districts of the South West Land Division. Milder temperatures for the South
West Land Division and far southwest Goldfields. Very hot through the eastern
Goldfields, Eucla, adjacent southern Interior, and west Pilbara. Windy at times
across the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 18 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, north and
west Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, far western South Interior, western
Eucla, and inland northeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Light
showers about the southern districts of the South West Land Division. Very hot
through the west Pilbara. Windy at times over southern WA.

Forecast for Friday 19 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, and northern and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Light showers about the southern districts of the South West
Land Division. Very hot through the west Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and inland
northern parts of Central West district. Windy at times over southern and
central WA.

Forecast for Saturday 20 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, and northern and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Light showers about the remaining southern districts of the
South West Land Division. Very hot through the west Pilbara. Windy at times
over southern and central WA.
