Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure will persist through inland parts for the
remainder of the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending from the Gascoyne to the Goldfields will gradually move
westwards across the South West Land Division to be located near the west coast
by the weekend where it is expected to deepen. The trough will move offshore on
Sunday as a high pressure system moves into the Bight and strengthens.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 9 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South West Land Division and
western Eucla. Chance of a light shower over the South Coastal district. Very
hot through the Interior, Pilbara, northern Goldfields, inland Kimberley and
Gascoyne. Windy at times through the Eucla, southern Interior and Goldfields.
Forecast for Wednesday 10 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara,
and Eucla. Chance of a light shower near the coast east of Albany. Very hot
through the Interior, Pilbara, northern Goldfields, southern inland Kimberley,
inland Gascoyne and northeastern inland parts of Central West. Windy at times
through the Eucla and along the south coast.
Forecast for Thursday 11 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, and inland and eastern parts
of the South West Land Division. Chance of a light shower south of Margaret
River to Hopetoun. Very hot through the Interior, Pilbara, northern Goldfields,
inland southern Kimberley, inland Gascoyne and northern inland parts of the
South West Land Division. Windy at times across the southern coastal districts,
and during the afternoon and evening through western Gascoyne and southwest
Pilbara.
Forecast for Friday 12 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Very hot through the Interior, Pilbara, northern Goldfields and inland
Gascoyne. Windy at times through the Eucla, southern Interior and southern
Goldfields.
Forecast for Saturday 13 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior,
Gascoyne, Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Very
hot through the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West
Land Division. Windy at times through central and southern parts of the state.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Wednesday.
