Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough of low pressure will move inland on Thursday as a ridge of high
pressure weakens. A broad area of low pressure will persist through the north
over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure sits over the southern coast, while a broad trough of
low pressure stalls over land until the weekend. A weak front will brush the
south coast on Friday before the high pressure system starts to move eastwards
into the Bight from Saturday, pushing the trough northwards.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 3 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms from the inland Gascoyne into the northeast
Wheat Belt, Goldfields, western Eucla and eastern South East Coastal District,
easing during the evening. Chance of a thunderstorm in the northwest Kimberley.
Very warm through the Pilbara into the inland Gascoyne and north-central
Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 4 December
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and
adjacent South Interior, mainly in the afternoon. Chance of a light morning
shower about the coastal fringe between Yallingup and Bremer Bay. Areas of
early fog over inland parts of the South West and South Coastal District, along
with the adjacent Great Southern. Hot through the Interior and Kimberley but
unseasonably mild in the southwest corner.

Forecast for Friday 5 December
The chance of afternoon thunderstorms returns to the northeast Kimberley.
Possible showers and thunderstorms from the eastern Goldfields into the Eucla
and southern South Interior. Light showers possible south of a line from
Busselton to Bremer Bay. Milder than normal for early December across much of
the South West Land Division, but hot from the inland Eucla into the Interior
and Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 6 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon, over most of the
Kimberley and northeast Interior. Thunderstorms most widespread over the north
and east Kimberley. Chance of a light morning shower about the south coast and
southern parts of the Interior. Mild over the southern districts but heatwave
conditions developing over parts of the Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 7 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern North Interior, most
widespread over the north and east Kimberley. Chance of a late shower about the
southwest coast. Areas of early fog over inland parts of the South West and
South Coastal District, along with the adjacent Great Southern. Remaining hot
much of the Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior and tending warmer through
the inland and eastern South West Land Division.
