Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina is moving southwest and will be located to the
north of the Kimberley tonight. The cyclone will most likely track west on
Monday, parallel to the north Kimberley coast whilst staying offshore, before
weakening on Tuesday and Wednesday. A broad trough remains through the Pilbara
and North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A front over southern WA is weakening. A series of weak troughs will brush past
the south coast this week associated with a couple of low pressure systems
moving through the Bight. A high pressure ridge is building across the west
coast and will extend over inland southern WA on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 23 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over southern parts of the South West Land
Division, far southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Light showers over the
northern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent southern Gascoyne.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the
Kimberley and eastern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms becoming frequent
over far northeast Kimberley in the evening. Very hot through the Kimberley and
northern Interior. Windy through southern WA.

Forecast for Monday 24 November
Very windy and heavy rain possible over far northern parts of the Kimberley,
dependant on movement and intensity of Tropical Cyclone Fina. Chance of showers
and thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley, southern Pilbara and
northeast Interior with little or no rainfall. Showers southwest of a line
Geraldton to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay. Chance of morning fog over
eastern Eucla. Very hot through the Kimberley and northern Interior. Windy
across the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 November
Windy and heavy rain possible over far northern parts of the Kimberley,
dependant on movement and intensity of Tropical Cyclone Fina. Chance of showers
and thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley and eastern Interior.
Light showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division
and southern Eucla. Very hot through the western and southern Kimberley, and
northern Interior. Windy across the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over northern Kimberley, possible heavy falls.
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the remainder Kimberley, northern
Interior, eastern Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Light showers south of a line
Jurien Bay to Lake Grace to Eucla. Very hot through the southern Kimberley and
northern Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 27 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and eastern
Pilbara. Light showers over the southern coastal districts. Very hot through
the southern inland Kimberley and northern Interior.
