Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weakening ridge over the Interior weakens allows a trough over land near the
Pilbara and Kimberley coasts to move inland on Wednesday and Thursday. In the
longer term, a tropical low currently located well to the north of the
Kimberley may move closer to its north coast on the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure extending over southern WA is weakening, contracting
to the south coast on Wednesday and moving away. Meanwhile, a trough located
offshore is deepening associated with a low pressure system. The trough and low
pressure system will move across the west coast later Wednesday and further
inland on Thursday, lingering into the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 18 November
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Gascoyne, far western
Interior, western Goldfields, northern and central parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over northern and western
Kimberley and inland Pilbara. Chance of showers over southern parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over southern and eastern Gascoyne, western
South Interior, Goldfields, western Eucla and South West Land Division. Chance
of a shower or thunderstorm over northern and western Kimberley, northwest
Gascoyne, inland Pilbara and North Interior. Windy at times over the Eucla and
adjacent southern Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 20 November
Showers and thunderstorms with areas of rain over the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the Kimberley, southern and far eastern Gascoyne and North Interior. Windy at
times over the southern districts, South Interior, and Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 21 November
Showers and thunderstorms with areas of rain over the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the Kimberley and North Interior. Windy at times over the southern Interior and
Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 22 November
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and Eucla with
thunderstorms possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division and
southwestern Goldfields. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
northwestern Kimberley, and eastern Interior.
