Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across inland areas. A ridge building to the south will
bring a southeast wind change to inland areas from Sunday, pushing the trough
closer to the Pilbara coast and northern Kimberley on Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough extends over inland areas. A new ridge building about southwest
WA will extend along the south coast, ahead of a couple of weak fronts brushing
past the south coast on Friday and Saturday. A west coast trough will redevelop
on Sunday and deepen on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, far
northeast Gascoyne and Interior. Thunderstorms in the Interior may be severe.
Light shower possible about the south coast. Windy at times in the southern
Interior, southwest Pilbara, Eucla and western Gascoyne.
Forecast for Friday 14 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far east Pilbara, Interior,
northern Eucla, Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, and northeast Central Wheat Belt.
Thunderstorms in the Interior may be severe. Light showers about the southern
coastal districts and southern parts of the Great Southern. Possible morning
fog over eastern central Interior, southern parts of the South West Land
Division, and adjacent far southern Goldfields. Windy at times in the Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 15 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, far eastern Gascoyne,
northern and far eastern Goldfields and northern parts of Eucla. Light showers
or drizzle over southern coastal districts and far southern Goldfields.
Possible morning fog over southern parts of the South West Land Division, and
adjacent southwest Goldfields. Windy at times in the Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 16 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central Interior,
northeast Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara. Light showers or drizzle possible
over southern coastal districts. Possible morning fog over southern parts of
the South West Land Division. Windy in the morning through inland Gascoyne.
Forecast for Monday 17 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the Gascoyne, Pilbara, Central
West and northern parts of Central Wheat Belt. Light shower possible about the
south coast in the morning. Windy in the morning through the Gascoyne, inland
Pilbara, northern Interior, far southern Kimberley and western parts of the
south West Land Division.
