Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough spans the Gascoyne coast, Pilbara, and southern Kimberley. The trough
retracts into the Pilbara on Wednesday as its southern extent moves inland. A
broad trough also lingers inland through the Interior until Wednesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends over southern WA as a trough deepens
along the west coast. The trough persists until mid-week, then moving inland on
Wednesday ahead of the next ridge.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 10 November
Showers and thunderstorms across the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
inland eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and northern
parts of the Central West. Unseasonably cool over the Goldfields and
southeastern WA.
Forecast for Tuesday 11 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across the Kimberley, inland parts of the
Pilbara and Gascoyne, Central West, north-central Goldfields, and Interior.
Thunderstorms may become severe over the central and northern Interior,
producing damaging winds and large hail. Windy in the morning through the
south-central Gascoyne and western parts of the South West Land Division. Very
warm over the west coast. Possible early fog inland from the coast in the west
Pilbara and northern Gascoyne.
Forecast for Wednesday 12 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland
east-central Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Mid West, northern Wheat Belt,
north-central Goldfields and northern Eucla. Possible severe thunderstorms with
heavy rainfall and damaging winds over the north and east Goldfields and
Interior. Slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Great Southern.
Possible light showers about the south coastal districts. Ares of early fog
inland from the coast in the Gascoyne and between Cape Leeuwin and Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Thursday 13 November
Showers and thunderstorms across the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Thunderstorms in the eastern Interior could become severe, producing heavy
rainfall and damaging wind gusts. Light showers in the morning about the south
coast east of Bremer Bay. Possible early fog over the inland Eucla and southern
and western Interior. Fresh and gusty sea breezes about the west coast.
Forecast for Friday 14 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, northern
Eucla, Goldfields, southern and eastern Gascoyne, inland Central West, Central
Wheat Belt, and eastern Great Southern. Possible light showers about the South
West, South Coastal District and South East Coastal District. Fresh and gusty
winds about the west coast.
