Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough spans the Pilbara and southern Kimberley, extending along the Gascoyne
coast. The trough retracts into the Pilbara on Wednesday as its southern extent
moves inland.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends over southern WA as a trough deepens
along the west coast. The trough persists until mid-week, then moving inland on
Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 9 November
Possible light shower about the Albany and Eucla coasts. Showers and
thunderstorms across the Kimberley, central and northern Interior, far northern
Goldfields, eastern and southern Gascoyne and adjacent Central West.
Forecast for Monday 10 November
Possible light showers along the south coast east of about Walpole. Showers and
gusty thunderstorms across the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
eastern and central Pilbara, much of the Gascoyne, northern parts of Central
West, and the northern Goldfields. Unseasonably cool over the Goldfields and
southeastern WA. Windy morning across the Interior, Gascoyne, and western parts
of the South West Land Division and Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 11 November
Showers and thunderstorms across the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
eastern and central Pilbara, southern and eastern Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy across
the Gascoyne and western parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 12 November
Showers and thunderstorms over much of the State, except the west Pilbara,
northwest Gascoyne, and southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay.
Moderate to possibly heavy falls over the Interior. Light showers over the
South Coastal, South East Coastal, and southwestern parts of the South West and
Great Southern districts.
Forecast for Thursday 13 November
Showers and thunderstorms across the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
eastern and southern parts of the Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and eastern
Eucla. Light showers along the south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Monday.
