Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure re-establishes across the north as a high to the
south moves away.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough and low pressure system remains offshore tonight and deepens, while a
ridge over southern WA weakens. The trough and low pressure system will move
east across the west coast on Wednesday, before moving further inland on
Thursday and weakening. A new ridge will develop over southern WA by Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 4 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley,
western Interior, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, and the South West Land
Division. Isolated heavy falls possible over southeast Gascoyne, Central Wheat
Belt, and eastern Central West. Windy over western parts of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 5 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across much of the State, more frequent with
areas of rain across southern WA. Thunderstorms may become severe over the
central South West Land Division, Goldfields, and southwest Interior, possibly
producing heavy falls, large hail, and damaging wind gusts. Unseasonably cool
over the Gascoyne and the northern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy
over central and southern parts of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 6 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across Eucla, eastern Interior, southern and
eastern Goldfields, with thunderstorms contracting east during the day.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms across the eastern and northern parts of the
Kimberley. Showers over the remainder of the South West Land Division, southern
Gascoyne, and Goldfields. Windy across southeastern parts.
Forecast for Friday 7 November
Light showers over the southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms across
northern and eastern Kimberley and northeastern parts of North Interior.
Unseasonably cool over inland southern WA.
Forecast for Saturday 8 November
Light morning showers about the South Coastal, South East Coastal, Eucla, and
southern Goldfields districts. Showers and thunderstorms across the Kimberley
and northeast Interior. Possible morning fog over the South Coastal and South
East Coastal districts. Unseasonably cool over southeast WA. Fresh and gusty
winds about the northern Interior and Gascoyne in the morning.
