Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Pilbara is deepening and will move further north on Monday as
a high to the south brings a fresh and gusty east to southeasterly flow to the
Pilbara and far southern Kimberley. A broad area of low pressure will
re-establish across the north from Tuesday as the high moves away.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge extends across southern WA. A west coast trough is forming and
will deepen as it moves offshore on Monday. A low pressure system will develop
within the trough on Monday and deepen while remaining offshore on Tuesday, as
the ridge over southern WA weakens. The trough and low pressure system will
move east across the west coast on Wednesday, before moving further inland on
Thursday and weakening.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 2 November
Isolated light showers about the south coast east of Bremer Bay. Showers and
gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara and northern Interior.
Windy across the Interior and Eucla.
Forecast for Monday 3 November
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern parts North
Interior, more frequent over northern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or gusty
thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the western Gascoyne and Central
West in the afternoon and evening. Possible light shower about the south coast
east of Albany. Warmer over western parts of the South West Land Division.
Windy over the Pilbara, Interior, far southern Kimberley, Gascoyne and western
parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and the South West Land Division. Windy over
central and southern parts of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 5 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across much of the state, more frequent with
areas of rain across southern WA. Isolated heavy falls possible across the
Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and far eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Unseasonably cool over the Gascoyne and the northern parts of the
South West Land Division. Windy over central and southern parts of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 6 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across eastern Eucla, eastern Interior, and
eastern and northern parts of the Kimberley. Showers over the South West Land
Division, southern and coastal areas of the Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and
western Eucla. Windy across the Interior, Eucla and eastern parts of the
Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Monday.
