Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the east Pilbara into the Interior with a ridge forming
over the Gascoyne. The trough extends back towards the west Pilbara in the
middle of the new week with the ridge pushing south.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front has passed the southwest corner, while a trough lies over eastern
parts of the state. A cut-off low moves across the south on Monday. A ridge
will develop from Tuesday and becoming the dominate feature on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 19 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla districts, more frequent in the
Kimberley. Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance, with
isolated thunderstorms possible near the south coast, west of Albany. Hot over
the South Interior. Windy at times over the Interior and Eucla, and over
northwestern WA in the evening.
Forecast for Monday 20 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over much of the State, with the exception
of the western Pilbara and Gascoyne and far northeastern parts of the South
West Land Division. Patchy morning fog or frost over central and southern parts
of the South West Land Division, with fog possible also over inland northern
parts. Windy at times over central and eastern WA.
Forecast for Tuesday 21 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla, eastern
Goldfields and South East Coastal district. Isolated showers over remaining
central and southern parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields, clearing during the afternoon. Possible morning fog over inland
northern parts of the Central West. Windy over the southeast of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 22 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and central
Interior, southeast Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields.
Isolated, mostly morning showers over southern coastal parts. Morning fog and
frost possible over inland southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Windy over central parts of the state in the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 23 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northeast and southern Goldfields, Eucla and
southeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Isolated showers over
remaining coastal and southern inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Morning fog possible over the Southwest and western parts of the Great
Southern. Windy over central and southeastern parts of the State.
