Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends through the Pilbara and Gascoyne. The trough connects with a
cold front moving through the south on Saturday and moves eastward. A weak
ridge forms from the start of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west coast trough has pushed inland ahead of a weak cold front crossing the
southwest early Saturday morning. Another cold front will move across the south
of the state on Sunday, followed by a cut-off low. A ridge will develop from
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 17 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers developing over
the southwest corner of the State, extending to southwest of a line Mandurah to
Bremer Bay by midnight. Hot from the western Pilbara through central parts of
the State to the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 18 October
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Bremer Bay. Showers and possible
thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Thunderstorms also possible over the
eastern Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Hot over southeastern parts of the
State. Windy at times over southern WA.

Forecast for Sunday 19 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Interior, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla districts, tending more frequent with moderate
falls over the Kimberley. Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to
Esperance, and for the remainder of the Goldfields and Eucla districts. Hot
through the South Interior. Windy over the southeast Interior in the morning,
and over northwestern WA in the evening.

Forecast for Monday 20 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over much of the State, with the exception
of the western Pilbara and western Gascoyne. Patchy morning fog or frost in the
northwest Great Southern and adjacent Central Wheat Belt. Windy at times over
central and eastern WA.

Forecast for Tuesday 21 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla and
eastern parts of the Goldfields and South East Coastal districts. Isolated
showers over remaining parts of the south coast, the Goldfields and eastern
Great Southern. Windy over the southeast of the State.
