Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends through the Pilbara and Gascoyne. A weak ridge sits over the
Kimberley and Northern Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends along the south coast of the state. A west coast trough
develops on Friday ahead of a cold front passing the southwest coast over the
weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, and far
northeast Pilbara, tending more frequent over the Kimberley. Light showers
possible south of a line from Fremantle to Bremer Bay, easing in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 17 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers developing south
of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Morning fog possible over southern and
western parts of the South West Land Division. Hot from the west Pilbara to
northern and eastern areas of the South West Land Division. Windy at times
during the day over southern WA.

Forecast for Saturday 18 October
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Bremer Bay. Showers and possible
thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Thunderstorms also possible over the eastern
Eucla and adjacent parts of the Goldfields and South Interior. Morning fog
possible over the far northwest Kimberley. Hot over southeastern parts of the
state. Windy at times over southern WA.

Forecast for Sunday 19 October
Light showers and possible thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Interior, and
northeastern parts of the Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla districts, tending
more frequent with moderate falls over the Kimberley. Showers southwest of a
line from Kalbarri to Esperance, and about the remainder of the Goldfields and
Eucla districts. Hot through the South Interior. Windy over the southeast
Interior in the morning, and over far northwestern WA in the evening.

Forecast for Monday 20 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern half of the state,
including eastern parts of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Great Southern, and South
Coastal districts. Showers also south of a line from Geraldton to Southern
Cross. Patchy morning frost in the northwest Great Southern and adjacent
Central Wheat Belt.
