Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending through the Pilbara and Gascoyne slowly moves east over the
week. A weak ridge sits over the Kimberley until Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge extends along the south coast of the state. A trough developing
over the South West Land Division will move to the Goldfields on Wednesday,
ahead of another weak cold front brushing past the southwest coast. A west
coast trough develops on Friday ahead of a cold front passing the southwest
coast over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, eastern
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Chance of a late shower
about the south coast between Albany and Bremer Bay. Smoke haze possible in the
southwest. Hot through eastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt, far eastern
Great Southern, inland parts of South East Coastal, northwest Eucla, southern
Interior and Goldfields.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields, and Eucla. Light showers
possible over central and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
clearing by early afternoon. Showers developing about the South West Capes and
western south coast to Albany in the evening. Chance of morning fog over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division, coastal parts of the
Kimberley and northeast coastal Pilbara. Hot through northern and eastern parts
of the Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Windy through Interior, eastern
Goldfields and Eucla.
Forecast for Thursday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and southeast Interior and
eastern Pilbara, more frequent over the Kimberley. Light showers possible south
of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Morning fog possible over southern and
central parts of the South West Land Division, far southwest Kimberley and
northeast coastal Pilbara.
Forecast for Friday 17 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers developing south
of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Morning fog possible over southwestern parts
of the South West Land Division. Hot through northern and eastern inland areas
of the South West Land Division. Windy at times during the day over southern WA.
Forecast for Saturday 18 October
Showers southwest of a line Kalbarri to Bremer Bay. Showers and possible
thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley, northwest
Interior, and eastern and central Pilbara. Morning fog possible over the inland
Central West district, and northern coastal Kimberley. Hot over southeastern
parts of the state. Windy at times over southern WA.
