Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Pilbara and Interior is moving northwards as a ridge to the
south pushes east to southeasterly winds into the Pilbara and central parts of
the Interior. This ridge will contract east into central Australia next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad ridge sits over southern WA this weekend. A weak cold front will brush
the southwest coast late on Sunday. The ridge will begin to move east on Monday
as a trough develops over the South West Land Division. The trough will move to
the Goldfields on Wednesday, ahead of another weak cold front brushing past the
southwest coast.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 11 October
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern
Interior. Light shower about the southwest coast, clearing in the afternoon.

Forecast for Sunday 12 October
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the northern and eastern
Kimberley, and northeast Interior. Light showers southwest of a line from
Harvey to Ravensthorpe to Israelite Bay. Possible morning fog over central and
southern parts of the South West Land Division, far southern Goldfields,
southern Eucla, southwest Kimberley and northwest coastal Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 13 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northern Interior.
Light showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Esperance, clearing around
midday. Areas of morning fog over inland southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy in the morning through central Interior. Warm to hot across
inland parts of Central West, Central Wheat Belt, adjacent Great Southern, and
inland parts of South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms, over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Chance of a late shower about the
south coast to the west of Esperance. Areas of morning fog over inland southern
parts of the South West Land Division. Hot through eastern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt, far eastern Great Southern, inland parts of South East Coastal,
northwest Eucla, southern Interior and Goldfields. Windy through Interior,
Goldfields, Eucla eastern Gascoyne and far eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 October
Showers and thunderstorms, over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne and eastern Goldfields. Light showers possible over central
and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Areas of morning fog over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Hot through northern and
eastern parts of the Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Windy through
Interior, eastern Goldfields and Eucla.
