Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies across northern WA, retracting into the North Interior and
southwest Kimberley this weekend. A ridge to the south pushes east to
southeasterly winds across the Pilbara and Interior on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge sits over southern WA and will strengthen over the weekend. A weak cold
front will then brush the southwest coast late Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 10 October
Light showers about the south coast to the west of Hopetoun. Showers and
thunderstorms over the inland Kimberley and North Interior. Mostly cloudy in
the South West with partly cloudy skies for the Interior, Kimberley, South
Coastal District and Lower West.

Forecast for Saturday 11 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley and eastern Interior. Thunderstorms most widespread in the north and
east Kimberley. Light showers about the south coastal districts to the west of
Israelite Bay, clearing in the afternoon. Possible morning fog over the north
and west Kimberley, adjacent northeast Pilbara, inland southern South West Land
Division and southern Eucla. Patchy morning frost over the far southwest
Central Wheat Belt, western Great Southern and adjacent South West district.

Forecast for Sunday 12 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern Interior, most
widespread through the north and east Kimberley. Light showers southwest of a
line from Bunbury to the Stirling Ranges. Possible morning fog over the inland
South West Land Division, far southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Tending
warmer through the southern Goldfields and east-central parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 13 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley and northern Interior. Thunderstorms most likely in the north and
east Kimberley. Light showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Albany, clearing
by around midday. Areas of morning fog over the western Great Southern and
adjacent inland parts of the South Coastal District, South West and Lower West.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne and northern Goldfields.
Chance of a late shower about the south coast to the west of Esperance. Breezy
and warm over the inland South West Land Division and Goldfields.
