Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the north. A ridge to the south directing south
to southeasterly winds over the Pilbara during the mornings will slip further
south by the weekend. A patchy cloud band is expected to develop across the
north later in the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is brushing past the south coast. A ridge re-establishes over
southern WA on Wednesday as the front moves away. The ridge will slip to the
south coast on Saturday and weaken, followed by another weak cold front
brushing past the south coast later in the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 7 October
Light showers south of a line Jurien Bay to Lake Grace to Israelite Bay. Chance
of a light shower over eastern Eucla and north Kimberley coast, clearing in the
evening. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over southeast Interior. Areas of
smoke haze over the eastern Kimberley and adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 8 October
Light showers over the central and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields, and Eucla, contracting to the south coast later
in the afternoon and evening. Showers and chance of a thunderstorm over the
eastern South Interior. Chance of a shower over the north Kimberley coast in
the afternoon. Possible morning fog over the western and southern parts of the
South West Land Division, north Kimberley, far southern Goldfields and Eucla.
Areas of smoke haze over the Kimberley and adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 9 October
Light showers south of a line from Yanchep to Bremer Bay and along the
Esperance coast. Chance of a shower about the north Kimberley coast. Showers
and chance of a thunderstorm over the eastern South Interior. Possible morning
fog over the northwest Kimberley and inland Eucla. Areas of morning frost over
Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, southwest Goldfields and inland parts of
South East Coastal.

Forecast for Friday 10 October
Showers south of a line from Mandurah to Bremer Bay and along the Esperance
coast. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the northern and eastern
Kimberley and northeast Interior. Possible morning fog over the northwest
Kimberley, inland parts of the South West Land Division, far southern
Goldfields and western Eucla. Patchy morning frost over southern parts of
Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, and inland parts of South East Coastal.

Forecast for Saturday 11 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern
Interior and eastern Eucla. Light showers possible about the south coast.
Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley, inland parts of the South
West Land Division, far southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Patchy morning
frost possible over western parts of the Great Southern.
