Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure extends over the Kimberley and Pilbara. A ridge
developing to the south will direct a southeast surge through inland areas on
Wednesday and Thursday. The trough extending over the Pilbara will move inland
on the weekend as a cloud band develops, ahead of a southerly change.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends over southern WA as a weak cold front brushes
past the south coast tonight and on Wednesday. The ridge will move east as a
west coast trough develops on Thursday. The trough will move inland on Friday
ahead of a cold front approaching from the west. A cloud band will develop over
southern and central WA over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 30 September
Light showers south of a line from Scarborough to Jerramungup to Israelite Bay.
Light showers possible about the far northeast Kimberley until early evening.
Areas of smoke over southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 October
Light showers or drizzle over the southern coastal districts, Great Southern,
far southern Goldfields, and along the coast of Lower West, contracting to east
of Israelite Bay by midday and clearing in the afternoon. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over the far north Kimberley in the afternoon and evening.
Possible morning fog over the far north and west Kimberley, inland central
parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla and southeast Goldfields. Areas of
smoke over southwest Kimberley. Windy in the morning through North Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 2 October
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the far north Kimberley and far east
Kimberley in the afternoon and evening. Possible morning fog over the north and
northwest Kimberley, southern coastal districts and far southeast Goldfields.
Chance of patchy morning frost over the Great Southern, southern parts of
Central Wheat Belt and southern coastal districts. Warm to hot over northern
and central parts of the South West Land Division. Windy in the morning through
North Interior, eastern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and far southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 3 October
Showers developing about the South West and Lower West districts, extending to
south of a line Jurien Bay to Albany in the evening. Chance of a shower over
northwest Gascoyne in the evening. Afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm
over the north and east Kimberley and eastern parts of North Interior. Possible
morning fog over the north and northwest Kimberley, South West, South Coastal,
southwest Pilbara and far west Gascoyne. Warm to hot over eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields and Eucla. Windy across the Gascoyne,
parts of the South West Land Division, southern Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 4 October
Rain, showers and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and western Pilbara. Possible morning fog
over west and southwest Kimberley, southwest Gascoyne, inland Central West and
adjacent northwest Central Wheat Belt. Hot over eastern parts of the
Goldfields, Interior and Eucla. Windy across the Interior and Eucla during the
day.
