Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure centre in the Bight extends a ridge over the State, maintaining
fresh and gusty southeasterly winds over northern WA, gradually easing after
Wednesday as the ridge weakens. A broad low pressure trough develops in the
Kimberley from Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends over much of Australia from a high pressure system in the
Bight. A weak cold front will brush the far southwest late Thursday, followed
by another ridge stretching along the south coast on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 23 September
Mostly clear over the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 September
Mostly sunny conditions across the state. Possible morning fog near the Eucla
coast. Warm over the Gascoyne and South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty
winds over the Pilbara, southern Kimberley, North Interior and northwest
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 25 September
Mostly sunny conditions across the state, with light showers developing about
the Southwest Capes and western south coast in the late afternoon and evening.
Warm over the Gascoyne, South West Land Division, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 26 September
Chance of light showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Eyre, tending
more likely over the South Coastal and South East Coastal districts, and mostly
clearing during the afternoon. Warm over the Gascoyne, Goldfields and northern
Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 27 September
Light showers about south coastal parts between Cape Leeuwin and Israelite Bay.
Possible morning fog over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
