Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A developing ridge is expected to bring an east to southeasterly surge through
the Interior, Pilbara and Kimberley over the weekend, and will dominate the
weather pattern into next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends near the south coast from a high pressure system to the west.
The high will move south of the State next week with a weak trough forming
along the west coast.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 20 September
Slight chance of a light shower between Windy Harbour and Albany. Mostly clear
elsewhere.
Forecast for Sunday 21 September
Light showers over the South Coastal, South East Coastal, adjacent Great
Southern, and the southern Eucla, clearing by mid-afternoon. Slight chance of a
shower in the far north and eastern Kimberley, most likely in the afternoon.
Possible morning fog over the far north Kimberley, and inland parts of the
south coastal districts, Great Southern and far southern Goldfields. Warm over
the western Gascoyne and western South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty
winds in the morning over the central and eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley,
North Interior and western Gascoyne.
Forecast for Monday 22 September
Chance of a shower along the Eucla coast in the early morning, and in the far
north and northwestern Kimberley in the afternoon and evening. Possible morning
fog over the far north Kimberley, and inland parts of the south coastal
districts, Great Southern and southern Goldfields. Warm over the western
Gascoyne and western South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty winds over the
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and southern Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 23 September
Mostly sunny conditions across the State with the chance of a shower over the
far northwest Kimberley in the early morning. Warm over the western Gascoyne
and central and western South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty winds over
the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and southern Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 24 September
Mostly sunny conditions across Western Australia. Warm over the Gascoyne and
the South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty winds over the northern and
eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley, and North Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
