Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Southeasterly winds push through the north from Monday and strengthen on
Tuesday, as a new ridge develops over the south of the state.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is moving over the northern and eastern South West Land Division
during the remainder of Sunday. A new ridge begins to develop over central
parts of the State on Monday and moves south on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 7 September
Showers over the the South West Land Division, southwestern Gascoyne and
southwestern Goldfields, with small hail possible over the South West, South
Coastal, and far southern Great Southern districts. Chance of thunderstorms
over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent
Goldfields. Chance of snow flurries above 900m about higher peaks of the
Stirling Ranges overnight.
Forecast for Monday 8 September
Showers over most parts of the South West Land Division, far southern Gascoyne
coast and far southern Goldfields, contracting to southern districts by evening
and extending over the western and coastal Eucla. Showers more frequent and
possible small hail about southern coastal districts, easing from the west
during the day. Possible thunderstorms along the coastal fringe between Albany
and Israelite Bay. Chance of snow flurries above 600m about higher peaks of the
Stirling Ranges in the early morning. Areas of morning frost over the Great
Southern and southern Central Wheat Belt. Light shower or possible thunderstorm
over northern and eastern parts of the Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 9 September
Light showers over southern districts, mostly clearing by evening. Showers and
the chance of a thunderstorm over northern and eastern parts of the Kimberley
and northern North Interior. Areas of morning frost over the inland South West
Land Division and adjacent parts of the Gascoyne and Goldfields. Windy morning
over the east Pilbara, southwest Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 10 September
Light showers over the South East Coastal and Eucla districts, contracting to
the Eucla coast during the afternoon. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the north Kimberley. Patchy morning frost and possible fog over the inland
South West Land Division and adjacent parts of the Gascoyne and Goldfields.
Windy morning over the Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 11 September
Light morning shower along the Eucla coast. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm
over the north Kimberley. Patchy morning frost and possible fog over southern
parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Possible morning
fog over the Eucla. Windy morning over the east Pilbara, southwest Kimberley
and North Interior.
