Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low-pressure system sits over the southern Gascoyne and moves east as a ridge
forms near the west Pilbara coast tomorrow. A cold front will approach the
southwest and pass through the state on Friday and Saturday. A new ridge forms
over the central west for the start of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low-pressure system sits over the southern Gascoyne and moves east. A cold
front will approach the South West Land Division and pass through the state on
Friday and Saturday, with additional troughs passing the far south of the state
over the remainder of the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 3 September
Showers and isolated thunderstorms over southeastern parts of the Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields and western parts of the South Interior. Chance of light
showers over the southern Goldfields, northern and eastern South East Coastal,
and Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 4 September
Light showers over much of the South West Land Division and southeastern
Gascoyne. Showers and chance of a thunderstorm over the Goldfields, South
Interior and Eucla. The chance of morning fog over the western Gascoyne and
inland western parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over the South
Interior, Eucla, eastern parts of the Goldfields and northeast Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 5 September
Showers increasing over the South West Land Division and western Gascoyne.
Chance of a gusty thunderstorm near the coast over the western districts. Light
showers over the Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior and far west Pilbara. The
chance of morning fog over the southwest Gascoyne, northern parts of the South
West Land Division, far southern Goldfields and western Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 6 September
Showers southwest of a line from Onslow to Warburton, most widespread south of
Kalbarri to Leonora. Chance of thunderstorms along the coast extending from
Kalbarri to Israelite Bay. Thunderstorms also possible over southeastern
Gascoyne, eastern Great Southern, South East Coastal, southwestern parts of the
Goldfields, and eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 7 September
Showers over the the South West Land Division. Light showers also possible over
the southwestern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields, and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
